The ability to leverage real-time data for applications and informed decision-making has shifted from a competitive advantage for organizations with technology expertise to table stakes for most enterprises. According to 451 Research's 2023 Voice of the Enterprise Data and Analytics survey, most strategic enterprise decisions leverage real-time analytics in the decision process. Real-time has become core to modern applications and capabilities across fraud detection, personalized recommendations, predictive fleet maintenance, real-time pricing engines, etc. and many of these use-cases are increasingly leveraging AI powered by real-time data.

Hewlett Packard Pathfinder believes real-time data and insights are critical to organizations of all sizes and industries, a shift from the past when these capabilities were more defining differentiators. Similarly, as real-time capabilities become more prevalent and complexities of operationalizing real-time data are abstracted away by modern platforms, we expect more and more batch workloads to transition to real-time. To remain competitive in a data-driven era, organizations not only require the ability to produce and capture real-time data, but also the appropriate tools to drive value with real-time data in a scalable and sustainable way.

Rockset: Empowering real-time solutions across search, analytics, and AI

Rockset has emerged as a leading real-time platform for search, analytics, and AI applications and is used by over 300 customers and growing. Purpose-built with a modern cloud-native architecture to handle the scale, performance, and flexibility requirements of modern workloads, Rockset’s serverless solutions enable enterprises to focus on building full-featured production applications without the operational burdens of managing the underlying infrastructure. One key architecture design that stood out to us is Rockset’s ability to dynamically and independently handle data ingestion and query to support inevitable and uneven workload spikes without requiring overprovisioning of resources or sacrificing performance.

Positioned for the Future: Rockset's Role in Generative AI

With Generative AI top of mind and enterprises experimenting with how to best leverage the technology, Rockset has positioned itself as a player in the emerging and highly dynamic category. Its vector search capabilities released last year are used by leading companies such as JetBlue to build production applications.

Exploring Collaborative Opportunities

We recently shared our investment in Rockset and we are excited to partner with Venkat Venkataramani (CEO) and the team as they continue to pioneer innovative techniques and solutions. With deep expertise in building large-scale data infrastructure at places such as Oracle, Google, Facebook, and through open-source projects like Hadoop and RocksDB, Venkat and the Rockset team have a deep understanding of the challenges customers face and expertise to tackle these challenges. Their unique combined knowledge of database, infrastructure, and machine learning positions them to be thought leaders in the real-time analytics category. Real-time data is becoming indispensable to all enterprises and we look forward to exploring partnership opportunities between HPE and Rockset to jointly bring innovative solutions to customers.
